The incredible figure of this Hawaiian koa wood, quarter sawn and book-matched, created such a dramatic effect that I couldn't resist. It felt like its own island to me. The blues and white surrounding it feel water like, then it is framed inside by sapele wood, with shades of white resin for the surround. The wood itself is such a work of art.
