There's been a fair bit of press over the years and been included in a couple of coffee table books - Contemporary Hawaii Woodworkers; the Wood, the Art, the Aloha, and Aloha Expressionism by Contemporary Hawaii Artists.

AWARDS
2019-Peoples' Choice Award at the 33rd Annual Hawaii Wood Guild Exhibit.
2014–1st Place Open Award at the 28th Annual Hawaii Wood Guild Exhibit for Nature’s Palette made in collaboration with Tiffany.
2013–1st Place Joinery and Artist’s Choice Award at the 27th Annual Hawaii Wood Guild Exhibit for Harmony Table (made in collaboration with Joshua Johansen).
2011—Peoples’ Choice & Woodturners’ Choice Awards at the 13th Annual Big Island Woodturners Exhibit for Eternal Spring—such an honor.
2010—Honorable Mention at the 18th Annual Hawaii’s Woodshow, for Curly Koa Uprising. Presented by the Hawaii Forest Industry Association.
2010—1st Place Open at the 24th Annual Hawaii Wood Guild Exhibit for Eternal Spring, a curly mango lidded vessel.
2009—Honorable Mention at the 17th Annual Hawaii’s Woodshow for Connections, a curly koa platter with translucent details. Presented by the Hawaii Forest Industry Association.
2008—Artists’ Choice Award for Blossoming Gem at the 22nd Annual Hawaii Wood Guild Show. Awarded by our fellow wood artists- MAHALO to you all!
2007—Award of Excellence at Hawaii Craftsmen’s 40th Statewide Juried Annual Exhibition for our Blossoming Gem Jewelry Box. Awarded by juror, John Natsoulas, of Natsoulas Gallery in Davis, CA.
2006 – Award of Excellence at Hawaii Craftsmen’s 39th Annual Statewide Juried Exhibition for an all koa Dancing Gem (similar to this one). Awarded by juror, Donald Clark of Ferrin Gallery.
